Vicky Copland: equosano Sales Representative

Mobile: 021 0371855

Vicky's decision to become an equosano sales representative was initially less about being involved in retailing and reselling, and more about connecting other horse enthusiasts to her favourite equine products—equosano. With her strong equestrian networks in the Palmerston area of Otago where she resides, and especially within the Waitaki Endurance & CTR Club Inc., Vicky believes she will do well in establishing a loyal equosano customer base.

Living in rural Palmerston allows Vicky to enjoy her number-one passion, endurance riding. She travels all over the South island competing in endurance riding competitions and aims to complete a 100 km ride this season at the 2021 New Zealand National Endurance Championships, which her member club, Waitaki Endurance & CTR Club Inc., is hosting—and which Vicky is heavily involved in organising. As a major sponsor of the National Endurance Championships, we look forward to supporting Vicky and other club members who are competing in this exciting, upcoming event. View our "Sponsored Events" page for details about this event.

Vicky's riding history is not all about endurance riding, however, as she's also had her fair share of 'successes' in other equestrian disciplines.  Added to this, is her natural ability to easily connect with horses and gain their trust, which has been evidenced many times over the course of her life-long involvement with her beloved steeds.

Another passion Vicky has is world travel. Travelling the globe, exploring new places and partaking in adventurous escapades has made Vicky a 'seasoned' traveller—and an interesting conversationalist. Despite not being able to venture beyond New Zealand at this time, Vicky's journeys abroad are not over yet. When she can, Vicky wishes to embark on some more overseas adventures and revisit some of her favourite places. And, as we can see in the photo below—Vicky is no world-travelling coward!

Outside of her equosano role, Vicky works part time at the Macrae's Oceana Gold Mine site in a Mechanical Administration and Compliance role. The Macraes Operation in the South Island of New Zealand is the country’s largest active gold producing mine, having produced over five million ounces of gold since 1990. The Macraes Operation is committed to contributing to the local economy through employment, procurement, community investment and donations—with over 600 people employed between the Macraes Operation and the Dunedin Office. Clearly, Vicky has an interesting and varied life :-)

We welcome Vicky to our team and wish her well on her sales journey.

Northland Sales Representative - Bay of Islands Area

Lynnette Watson

Mobile 027 559 3009

Lynnette Watson in situated in the Bay of Islands and is your equosano go-to sales representative for the Northland region. She's proactive and dynamic in the equestrian industry and is passionate about people, organics and equosano equine products. You will find Lynnette to be very knowledgeable, relational and personable.

Lynette's equestrian pursuits and experiences began at the age of 10. Since then, she has developed valuable knowledge and practical experience in varying equine disciplines, horse training and breeding. Lynnette is especially passionate about helping other people to connect more deeply with their horse(s), and is experienced in body work techniques which can help to identify the source of a horse's health issue(s).

After successfully breeding NZWB Sporthorses at Omega Stud for over 15 years, Lynnette decided to embark on a new journey that more fully embraced the holistic concept of equine management and training. This change of direction led her into a holistic, equine training approach that involved teaching other horse riders how to help their horse to have a more comfortable and sound body that would enable the horse to move more freely and correctly, and carry the rider more effectively. Today, Lynnette continues to train and equip other horse riders to achieve these results through one-on-one (and group) training in classical in-hand and calm training methods, as well as through individual riding lessons at her onsite equestrian facility, Omega Equestrian.

Lynnette bred (and classified) Lucero Omega (Leo), a stunning, NZ Warmblood Association licensed stallion who has sired several foals—25 of them alive today; some owned by top NZ eventers and doing very well.

Lucero Omega's daughter Leilani Omega won HOY as a two year old, taking the Supreme Champion NZ Performance Led award—and defeating the older, imported horses (see photo at top of page). Lynette's grief over losing Leilani Omega to colic at the age of six (this year) has further reinforced her belief in the holistic equine approach that she wholeheartedly embraces.

Lynnette's holistic approach to equine management and training is further supported by being able to host a variety of holistic equine training clinics at her Omega Equestrian facility, and being able to offer her clients expert nutritional advice. Lynnette believes that the horse's behavioural issues can be largely, even completely, resolved through correct nutrition (always accompanied with vet advice where required). She also believes in empowering horse lovers (young and old) to honour the powerful, historical role that horses have had in people's lives, and in encouraging others to believe in the role that horses have today—in being able to help people to connect more deeply with themselves and with their beloved steed.
